Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping)
The NIA through its Registered Training Organisation is now
offering skills recognition and training for the Certificate
IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping). This is one of the
qualifications currently specified as a minimum educational
requirement for BAS service providers seeking registration as BAS
Agents under the new Tax Agents Services Act.
Our program has been designed to suit candidates who are
currently working in bookkeeping roles and are seeking a formal
qualification to enhance and confirm their existing knowledge and
skills. It can be completed through a combination of skills
recognition and distance learning activities.
Course in Basic GST/BAS Taxation Principles
The Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) program
includes the unit FNSBKPG404A - Carry Out Business
Activity and Instalment Activity Statement Tasks. If you
already have a minimum Certificate IV qualification which did not
include an approved course in basic GST/BAS you can enrol to
complete just this one unit in Distance Learning mode.

Important Changes: Accounting Qualifications
Further to earlier advice; following an extensive review of our
programs in the context of developments within the profession, the
NIA through its RTO will not be offering further skills recognition
and training services or taking any further enrolments in the
Advanced Diploma of Accounting, Diploma of Accounting and
Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting).
This change will not affect the current enrolments of candidates
who have already commenced any of these programs with us.
The NIA RTO will however continue to offer the Certificate IV in
Financial Services (Bookkeeping)
